Enter the world of GNSS Art and its creator, Fernando Magalhães, more commonly known as the artist, MGXS.

GNSS is the result of years of R&D by MGXS, making true generative art. Each GNSS is truly unique, generated over 6 months of curation, with a ready to mint pool of 13333 unique artworks, 133% of the supply. In this unique project, collectors had a role to play, picking which GNSS seems the best to their eyes, influencing the rarity and deciding which would be the final 10K unique GNSS in the collection.

In the GNSS project, the concept of growth and transformation is paramount, and it all begins with a seed. But here, we’re talking about two distinct types of seeds.

The first seed is a procedural seed developed by MGXS for use in Houdini, a sophisticated 3Danimation software that’s renowned for its powerful handling of complex tasks. This procedural seed, filled with the necessary digital DNA, is put through a series of intricate operations and processes to develop into GNSS beings.

This initial phase of creation resulted in a pool of 20,000 GNSS. From this extensive set, the collection was meticulously curated down by MGXS to 13,333 GNSS beings over the span of 6 months. Many beautiful creations did not make the cut.

The GNSS Seed NFT served as an entry point into this universe. Released on March 11, 2022, the entire batch was minted within five minutes at a cost of 0.33 ETH each. The seed reveal process added an interactive layer for holders, offering up to 10 GNSS options to choose from. This unique minting experience created infectious bonding moments within the community, particularly in our GNSS Discord where our voice chat was active 24/7 for two months. Holders had the power to choose the GNSS that resonated with them the most, guiding the selection of the final collection until the very last minute. There were many that joined in the excitement of the reveal.

From the array of GNSS seeds, 9,697 unique digital entities finally emerged, spreading across23 species and 29 subspecies when the seed reveal concluded on May 17, 2022. This co-created digital universe is a testament to the balance between artist, machine, and collector, where each plays a critical role in shaping its evolution.
