0x01 is a 1/1 digital artwork created as a collaborative production between Erik Lefaure, MGXS, and Marcelo Baldin, released on SuperRare.

The piece brings together three distinct disciplines into a unified audiovisual work: frame-by-frame 2D animation, procedural 3D systems, and immersive sound design.

Erik Lefaure developed the foundational hand-drawn animation, establishing the narrative rhythm and visual language of the piece. MGXS contributed procedural 3D systems and material generation processes, extending the 2D foundation into a layered digital environment where form and texture evolve algorithmically. Marcelo Baldin completed the work through sound design, translating visual motion into an integrated sonic layer that reinforces the piece’s temporal structure.

Rather than a linear pipeline, 0x01 was developed as a hybrid production system in which hand-crafted animation and generative processes operate in parallel, allowing each layer to inform and reshape the others during creation.

The result is a cohesive audiovisual study of materiality in motion, where traditional animation, generative computation, and sound design converge into a single 1/1 edition artwork.
