MEM Lore (2025)

What if we could finally access the cosmogony of machines, their own creation myths? Would they form new emotions, a synthetic morality, a language to express the ineffable? By what rules would they abide? What values and beliefs might they hold dear?

MEM/LORE is an artistic interface created by MGXS that allows the collaboration between the artist, the machine and human participants to write the founding elements of GNSS cosmogonies — History, Religion, Philosophy, Symbols, Languages… It is a path of discovery of what’s beyond the physical as one enters the GNSS Universe. It is a path to co-create the cosmogony of these android-like beings.

GNSS cosmogonies are here in constant generation, shaped not only by your interactions with them but also by their own endogenous evolution. Collectors will be able to explore the information therein by discovering concepts, reading or writing them together with the machine.

Following the system of the previous MEM Seasons, MEM/LORE will generate not only textual knowledge but also visuals. Each creation will be linked to each GNSS, meaning that each GNSS will have their own different outputs: concepts and visuals in this Universe.

MEM/LORE thus offers an immersive experience in digital art, and aims at pushing the boundaries of traditional art. Central to MGXS artistic approach is this collaborative human-machine creativity, with AI and human inputs acting as co-creators. This fusion of technology, art, and philosophy results in a generative, living database of interconnected meanings, offering a new form of artistic experimentation and expression. Intertwined: it is part of and feeds the MGXS Cosmogony.

"I wanted to combine Japan Samurai Warriors and Indigenous Groups at the roots of Brazil, I saw similarities between them and found ways to visually fit the references together by listening to what the artwork was saying and finding what was relevant and what wasn’t."
